Our School

St. Mary's School exists to provide an educational setting in which the students will be challenged academically and encouraged to nourish their God-given curiosity in a way that will be informed by Catholic values. Small class sizes and an emphasis on inclusion ensure children get a great deal of one-on-one attention from teachers. Every child deserves to learn and grow. Assessment-driven instruction means that each child is treated as an individual; whether they enter the classroom as a struggling student, are in need of acceleration or are right on task - our students strive toward their own success under the skilled and nurturing expertise of our licensed professional staff of educators.

Mission

It's not enough for the administration at a school to know its mission; the whole community of teachers, parents and students need to understand it as well. Every morning the school gathers together for assembly, and before we leave to learn for the day, we affirm our mission together as we recite:

"I am a St. Mary's Student. I am a person of faith who is called through the Gospel

to a life of excellence, integrity and the service of others."

So what does this mean?

Whether in the classroom or the athletic field, we strive for excellence. That is not defined as perfection, but as constant growth, which makes us life-long learners. Demonstrating integrity in our dealings with others and ourselves helps us to practice honesty, conviction and compassion. Taking our talents, and using them to better our communities, helps us to contribute to a more just and peaceful world. All this, God calls us to do. And with His grace and love, we can move mountains!
